Some children and young people cannot grow up with their birth families for a variety of reasons.
People like you open your homes and create a new family where these children can continue to grow in a loving, secure home. There are currently up to 4,000 children in the UK waiting for adoptive families.
We help connect you with the children that will benefit most from your support and care.
Parenting with care and stability
Many children needing adoption have been abused, either physically or sexually, while others have been neglected and not given love and stimulation. All will have experienced changes and uncertainty. As a result, many children are angry or confused about what is happening to them.
They need a great deal of love and attention to help them adjust to stable family life. Adoption by people like you helps provide the caring and stability these children need to grow into happy, confident adults.
We support you with our extensive experience and expertise in assessing and preparing people with the potential skills to adopt children who have been abused or neglected. We help you to parent your adopted child to achieve their hopes of a new home.
Building new families
We believe that children need families who can help them grow up feeling good about themselves, with knowledge of their own culture, language and religion.
Our projects connect adoptive families from all cultural backgrounds, reflecting the children looking for a new family. We also have specialist projects that focus on finding families for children from black and minority ethnic backgrounds.
